Parish Councils are only statutory consultees in the planning process which means that they only have the right to be informed of planning applications within the parish, and comment on planning applications in the same way that individuals can comment. They cannot approve or reject planning applications. The local planning authority (LPA) determines the final decision of a planning application. The LPA for planning applications in Romsey Extras is usually Test Valley Borough Council.
Planning Applications are now being considered by the Council’s Joint Planning Committee with the Town Council. For the latest applications to be considered by the Joint Planning Committee the agenda can be found here.
